Physics
In 2007 I received a masters degree in physics (with theoretical physics) from the University of Manchester, and despite the best efforts of the university it remains one of my greatest interests. I am especially interested in quantum information and plasma physics.
Documents
Over the years I have written various documents relating both to physics and to the mathematics that is used in physics, including:
- D. Martin, ``Deriving the rotation matrix" [ PS | PDF ]
- D. Martin, ``Electrostatic PIC simulation of plasmas in one dimension", University of Manchester M.Phys project report (2007) [ PS | PDF ]
- D. Martin, ``Computing the ground state energy of helium", University of Manchester M.Phys project report (2007) [ PS | PDF ]
Programs
I have written computer programs for simulating physics as part of my degree. I intend to develop these programs so that they may be of either some use or enjoyment to others. The software that I have so far made available is listed below:
- Pendulum - a pendulum simulator
